Interesting fog pattern this morning. This did not turn out as sharp as I had hoped in quality as I took this on a 1 second exposure by hand.

This snake had just been killed on the road. This snake was nearly 7 feet long, although it's hard to tell that in this shot. It's the first, and hopefully last of this kind of snake I hope to ever come across. If I'm correct, this is what is called a coach-whip or black-runner here in Mississippi. They will chase you down. I've heard also that they will whip you and thrash around wildly. I

One of our summer rabbits trying to make off with some goods near our garden! This one showed little fear as I was able to get close for some decent pictures. I even got a mini movie of this rabbit before it had enough of me and ran off.

This is one of our deer friends that I caught on the edge of where our garden was. I took this photograph of this Mississippi white tail deer through our back porch window, which explains the slight blur in the photo.

Full Moon at close earth orbit last night. Just a couple of experiment night shots, plus I wanted to capture the event of the moon being so close. The top image is an 8 second exposure. The bottom image is a 1/350 second exposure at maximum zoom.

Snow is a very rare event here in south central Mississippi. However, it's coming down pretty good and covering the ground here this morning, as you can see in this digital image. This is only the second time in as many years that I have seen snow actually build up on the ground here.

Although I have taken many shots, this is one of my favorite pictures. Notice how trees get subdued by the fog? This photo was taken in early fall. This would be a great scene to recreate into a painting.
